Spring has Sprung! Let’s Drink

We are topping out in the high 70s today, the sun is shining, the trees are starting to bloom and the birds are chirping. After what felt like the longest winter in the history of since I’ve been alive, spring finally decided to get out of a bed and come to the party.

Now that its here, all I can think about are bike rides in the park, drinks on the patio, and the sun still being out when I leave work at night.

Despite living in the middle of no-where Brooklyn (which is just between recently “hipsterfied” Brooklyn, and “there-is-no-way-in-hell-I’m-going-there” Brooklyn) I’ve got a pretty great view of the Manhattan skyline from my roof. I can not wait to hang out up there with some summer drinks in hand, and with my sister coming to town this weekend there is no time like the present.

I came across this delicious looking lemonade while looking around on Elisa and Emma’s fantastic blog. I think it sounds perfect for a Saturday afternoon and I can’t wait to try it out! Emma’s suggests adding a splash of bourbon to it, which I think sounds great.

Do you guys have any recommendations on spring drinks and cocktails? I’d love to get some ideas.

Around Town // Washington Square Park

My mom was in town this weekend, so we did a lot of walking around Manhattan. We ended up meeting a friend of hers in Washington Square park before grabbing a few drinks. The weather was a bit depressing, but there were a lot of people out and about. A man at a grand piano, boys playing with bubbles, a man creating a masterpiece out of chalk.
